winter planters

Christmas time is coming and winter planters will be the perfect decoration to add to your home. This winter, we’re going to show you how to make winter planters with a few simple supplies that you can find at any craft store. Winter planter making doesn’t get easier than this!

what are some simple tips to make winter planters?

One of the simplest tips is to use artificial winter berries. These can be found at any craft store and come in a variety of colors, so you can find the perfect set of your winter planter. Another great way to add color to your winter planters is with fake snow. This can also be found at any craft store and will add a winter wonderland feel to your winter planters.

what are the supplies needed for winter planter making?

– winter berries in multiple colors, fake snow, artificial ivy garlands, potting soil & small plants of your choosing – these can be real or fake depending on preference! In addition, feel free to pick some spruce branches, pinecones, or even walnuts.

Another essential is a glue gun. Glue guns can be found at any craft store and are a great way to keep winter planters together. One of the most important supplies is potting soil as this will give your winter planter its shape, hold in those winter berries and fake snow, as well as provide nutrients for your small plants!

how long does it take to make winter planters?

– winter planter making can take as little as an hour and a half. Winterberries, fake snow, and artificial ivy garlands are all very easy to find at any craft store! If you’re choosing real plants that require more care than other winter berry options then it may be best to choose the faux winter berries and snow.

what are some ideas for winter planters?

One idea is to go with a winter wonderland theme and use artificial snow, white winter berries, and evergreen ivy garlands. If you’re looking for something more colorful, try using red winter berries, fake snow in multiple colors, and holly ivy garlands. No matter how you winter plan to decorate your home for Christmas, winter planters will be the perfect addition!

The Process of Making Christmas Winter Planters:

To start off, you will need a have planter of your choice (check out this article for some ideas: winter Garden Planters Types That Are Sure to Please) and then you will need to have all the supplies mentioned above ready so make sure you have it. Next, place your potting soil in the planter and pack it down so that it is even. This will be the foundation of your winter planter.

After, start gluing on your artificial winter berries. Depending on how big or small you want them, you can place them anywhere you like! Once they’re all glued on, take your fake snow and start to glue it on as well. Place winter berries and snow all around the planter for a winter wonderland feel!

To create your winter ivy garlands, cut about 12 or so long pieces of artificial ivy that are fairly thick. Once you have done this, take one piece of winter ivy garland at a time and start to glue it on the planter. Start with one end of winter ivy garland and then move your way around until you have covered all sides that are visible! Make sure not to cover up winter berries or snow if they’re in certain spots though!

Once done, take some small plants (real or fake) and place them into winter planters. We recommend winterberry bushes or winterberry crepe myrtle for the color and winter vibes! Fill up your winter planter with dirt and pack it down gently so that roots can grow into the soil just fine. And then, you’re done!

Now that’s a simple tip to making winter planters once all the supplies are acquired. This process should take you no more than an hour and a half, start to finish! And voila, winter planters that will add Christmas cheer to your home!
